MESSAGES FROM PASTOR STEVE MAILE:

ANGELS ON THE JOB

 Colossians 3:1-4
1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Angels are on the job 24/7 and we who are born again are eternal beings.  The basic fundamental key for existing on the earth is to connect to the spiritual realm. As spiritual beings our primary concern is to connect with the supernatural. God has set eternity in our hearts and whatever we do down here will affect us in eternity. To operate on these levels we need to separate our hearts to God but at the same time learn the skill of living normally on the earth – this is to be naturally natural and spiritually spiritual. In the midst of normal live God gives you the power to live supernaturally.

1 Timothy 1:8
But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully,

We need to wage a good warfare which is the key to existing normally with the power of the supernatural. We are not called to Christian fatalism (whatever will be will be), but we are called to pray. Satan is defeated and we are enforcing his defeat when we participate in the Great Commission. You have to know your position because that affects your choices; if your mind is fixed on heavenly things you will be a partaker and participator in the divine plan of God. Put more of the Word of God in you to build character and participate in the purposes of God.

God left us with help, we have Jesus the glorified man interceding for us and the angels are there to help us enter the realm of warfare. We are mediators and all of us have a ministry of prayer, just like we should all have pastoral grace and evangelistic hearts. Every revival that happened rested on the shoulders of consecrated people who prayed. Angels minister for those who are heirs of salvation: they encourage, quicken, give courage, protect, lead us to worship and focus on the eternal. We must believe what the Word of God says – not in extremes because one truth taken to an extreme is a deception, we want the power of God and His truth in our lives.

ANGELS ON ASSIGNMENT

Colossians 1:6 AMPLIFIED BIBLE
Which has come to you. Indeed, in the whole world [that Gospel] is bearing fruit and still is growing [a][by its own inherent power], even as it has done among yourselves ever since the day you first heard and came to know and understand the grace of God in truth. [You came to know the grace or undeserved favor of God in reality, deeply and clearly and thoroughly, becoming accurately and intimately acquainted with it.]

We have to ask ourselves whether the gospel preached today is the same that Apostle Paul preached. There is power in the gospel, in prayer, in believing angels are dispatched. Jesus is God revealed in the flesh and in the spiritual realm there are angels and demons.  In Matthew 24 the Bible says that the elect will become deceived in the last days - especially if you are unable to discern by the will, work and Word of God. To avoid deception we need clean hands, pure hearts and to be planted in a good Apostolic church. We have to be rooted, grounded and established in Christ-like character. You need to be like this to engage in spiritual warfare – it can be dangerous!

The despatch of angels is the result of a:
Life of worship
Life of warfare
Life of prayer
Life of holiness.

God is working in the unseen realm and we have a key to release angels. They are not there for our selfish desires which are outside the will of God. Angels are angelic servants that go forth primarily for the heirs of salvation. They are also there for the provision and blessing; they open doors, protect and shield believers.

Hebrews 1:14
Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

They go forth into cities and nations to bring forth salvation.  The natural has nothing to do with the supernatural because God is preparing the way! Angels are not to be worshipped, they are servants to the gospel to go forth and bring multitudes to the gospel. They are on assignment to save people – we can not do it alone. We need God! The supernatural activity of God is to get you into a deeper place of prayer and humility so that you can live out the truth, not get puffed up in revelations that are not in the Bible! Our prayers have power once we are rooted in Christ - trust God in the supernatural.

THE POWER OF FASTING

Isaiah 58:5-8
5 Is it a fast that I have chosen, A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, And to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Would you call this a fast, And an acceptable day to the LORD? 6 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? 7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? 8 Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.

Going through tests does things, most people do not want to fast but we need to live a fasted lifestyle. Man can not live by bread alone. We fast corporately so that we can come into unity as a Church but there are times when we should fast individually also. Do not try to be Jesus when you are fasting – seek God for grace! Make sure that it is the fast that God has chosen. Through fasting we learn to deny ourselves, carry our cross and follow Jesus. Our flesh needs to be under the dominion of our Spirit because the law of sin and death destroys people’s lives. We need to live by the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.  For life begets life and joy begets joy!

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ

Know your weapons; these are the weapons of your warfare:
The Blood of Jesus
The Name  of Jesus
The Word of God
The Spirits Language – praying in tongues
The Praises of Israel.

Refuse to entertain whatever will affect your destiny! Fasting breaks enticing spirits, doctrines of devils and strongholds of the mind. Strongholds include fear, lust that is out of control, apathy, laziness, the way you dress that does not reflect Jesus. We have to break strongholds and release the power of God that gets people converted. Testify to people about what God had done in your life because that has the greatest impact on people’s lives.

Revelation 12:11
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

RICH FULFILMENT:

Psalm 66:10-12
You have refined us as silver is refined. You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs. You have caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfilment.

Frustration will turn into rich fulfilment as we remain faithful. Failure is never fatal when it becomes the fuel to fertilize your future, as true Fulfilment is the fruition of all your God-dreams. The outworking of this is the fruit of a godly character. The Bible says: better is the end than the beginning.
Whenever God wants to take you and me into a new place in Him, there is always a new price to pay. Sometimes we have to realize when God has called us, there will be seasons of frustration and equally seasons of great fulfilment. The rudder that will steer our lives through these times will be the meat between a sandwich called faithfulness. Remember an inheritance grasped hastily will not be blessed at the end. Therefore, we do well to heed the words of the psalmist David who learnt to behave himself wisely in the Lord.
Lamentations 3:22-23
Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

Psalm 118:5-6
I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place.  6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

10 key principles to handle your toughest seasons

1.     No matter what season you are in, remember tough times don’t last but tough people do!  If you handle the dry season correctly, abundance and overflow follows. (Look at the life of Joseph)
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

2.     A difficult season will always precede a new place of enlargement and promotion. If you respond by not reacting, you will rise to new levels. (Look at the life of David)

Psalm 75:5-6  Do not lift up your horn on high; Do not speak with a stiff neck.’”  6 For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. 7 But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.

3.     You cannot change your seasons; you must process them by holding on to the faithfulness of God. (Look at the life of Job, and claim double for your trouble)
1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

4.     Champions don’t give up, they always get up. Perseverance produces character. Our toughest seasons teach us to endure hardship. (Look at the life of the Apostle Paul)

Romans 5:2-5 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

5.      God’s end purpose in recognizing the season is always rich fulfilment and over flowing abundance. (Look at the life of Esther)

Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen

6.     Your concept of fulfilment may not be God’s. (Look at the life of Jonah)

Genesis 37:5 Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more.

7.     True fulfilment is to stay in the centre of God’s will, and God’s will is not always easy or without pain. A bend is never the end unless you fail to make the turn. (Look at the life of Mary)
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

8.     Make sure your season will turn you better not bitter, when life gives you lemons, turn them into lemonade. (Look at the life of Hannah)

Hebrews 12:15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

9.     God’s final purpose to every season is H.O.P.E.: -Holding -Onto -Promises –Eternal (Look at the life of Abraham)
Romans 4:18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”

10. The seasons will come and go, the goal is to remain humble and you will not crumble! (Look at the life of the Apostle John)
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
